Dear Muslims, Please remember that Eid days are moments for joy and celebration but also for Dhikr and Takbir. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La Illaha Illa Allah, wa Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa Lillahi Al Hamd. That is why our Prophet Muhammad pbuh recommended pronouncing Takbir after each obligatory prayer since the Day of Arafa until the sunset of the last days of Tashriq (11-12-13th of Dhu al-Hijja). O Believers, Takbir (pronouncement of Allah is the Greatest) is one of the Eid rituals with which Muslims would express their gratitude to their Lord for His favours on them on these blessed days and times. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to recite these two soorahs during the two Eids.Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La Illaha Illa Allah (there is no deity except Allah), wa Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa Lillahi Al Hamd. In the second rak’ah he should stand up saying takbeer, and when he has stood up completely he should say takbeer five times, and recite Soorat al-Faatihah then Soorat al-Qamr. Then he should recite al-Faatihah, and recite Soorat Qaf in the first rak’ah. In the first rak’ah he should say Takbeerat al-ihraam (say “Allaahu akbar” to start the prayer), after which he should say six or seven more takbeers, because of the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her), “The takbeer of al-Fitr and al-Adha is seven takbeers in the first rak’ah and five takbeers in the second, apart from the takbeer of rukoo’.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 639. It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed said: The Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to come out on the day of al-Fitr and al-Adha to the prayer place, and the first thing he would do was to offer the prayer. The Imam will give a short Khutbah (speech). Raise your hands after each "Allahu Akbar". Step 9: After the recitation, before going into Ruku, there will be 3 Takbirs.

Step 8: The Imam will first recite from the Holy Quran (first Surah Al Fatiha and another Surah. You will do two prostrations as in normal prayer. Step 3: There will be 3 Takbirs before the Imam starts reciting Quran. Step 2: After the Imam has said "Allahu Akbar" the first time, you should raise your hands and follow.
